Four Years Too Many #EvacuateNow #BringThemHere - University of New England Armidale

It has been four years since Kevin Rudd announced people seeking safety in Australia by boat would never be able to rebuild their lives here.

Successive Australian Governments have kept innocent people locked up in concentration camps on Manus Island and Nauru.

Australian Governments are responsible for 35 deaths in onshore and offshore detention since 2010, including the deaths of Reza Barati and Hamid Kehazaei.

Australian Governments are also responsible for the continuing torture of asylum seekers and refugees on Manus Island and Nauru.

We demand an end to this inhuman regime and call on the Australian Government to close the concentration camps on Manus Island and Nauru and to bring all refugees and asylum seekers locked up there to Australia immediately.

We will meet in the Court Yard between Dixson Library and Lazenby Hall.
