FOUR YEARS TOO MANY #EvacuateNow #Bringthemhere Noosa Welcomes Refugees vigil

We call out to all, for compassion without fear!

For four years, successive Australian governments have created and maintained policy that prevents innocent children, women and men, who arrive by boat seeking asylum and protection, from ever settling Australia. Regardless of their refugee status, they are denied the chance of rebuilding their lives in Australia. Instead, they are locked up and subjected to the most deplorable conditions and treatment in offshore detention camps and consequent life on Nauru and Manus Island.

Offshore, indefinite, mandatory detention in some of the most remote places on the planet is brutally cruel and deeply inhumane.

We demand an immediate end to this inhumane policy and practice and call on the Australian Government to close the detention camps on Nauru and Manus Island and bring all refugees and those seeking asylum, who are detained and living there to Australia.
