Unley Climate Emergency Declaration
We petition the Unley Council to Declare a Climate Emergency and introduce solar energy in all Unley Council properties; to encourage the installation of water tanks in all private and commercial premises by offering subsidies; to plant more street trees where they are missing and encourage retention of trees in private gardens.
Why is this important?
We are facing a Climate change that is alredy impacting this and future generations. We need to make Unley water-resilient and keep the city warming temperature down. By this declaration the Council will join a number of enlightened Councils who have already done so and so encourage the State Government to declare a Climate emergncy for the whole state
