Australia needs a Clean Recovery Plan!

Australia is facing an unemployment crisis, with 1 in 4 of us unable to find reliable work. But at the same time, there has never been more work to do to protect our planet and communities from climate change.

There’s a common-sense solution. Investing now in clean energy and climate-friendly projects could create hundreds of thousands of future-proof jobs and make Australia a clean energy superpower.

But Morrison’s being held back by a handful of climate denialists in his party room.

That’s why we’re coming together to make sure Morrison hears loud and clear from people all across Australia that we want a Clean Recovery now.

People across the country are putting their hand up to be Petition Partners, who will collect petition signatures for a Clean Recovery in our communities during the month of November. We’d love for you to join us!

You’ll create your own petition for a Clean Recovery, but it will be connected to the larger national petition so the signatures you collect go towards our national petition.

    Implementing a Clean Recovery Plan will reduce energy cost and create twice as many secure jobs than polluting and expensive fossil gas and nurture a safe climate for our children and grandchildren. Delivering a Clean Recovery will need widespread support from key federal and state politicians and concerned local communities such as ours across the country. Mount Alexander Shire Council, last year declared a Climate Emergency and has committed to a roadmap to carbon neutrality for council operations by 2025, an example to federal and state governments of results achievable with strong community support and commitment to scientific evidence based climate policy.
