• Studley Park Community Garden
Sustainable communities and food sourcing is becoming increasingly important. So, too, is optimising the use of our community land. The small piece of land of interest is rarely used and would be a wonderful way for the community to connect and learn together about urban farming. Connecting us all to our food supply and nature brings harmony, togetherness and fabulous food!

  • Down with DobSeeker: No hotline for dobbing in unemployed workers
This proposed new hotline would put even more power in the hands of dodgy bosses, and create additional pressure on marginalised groups to accept bad jobs that won't work for us. There are a lot of good reasons to turn down a job - a creepy boss, having to spend hours on public transport, or even conflicts with parenting commitments like picking your kids up from school. I'm Imogen, I'm 22, and I was recently on JobSeeker. My job services provider would push jobs that were completely unsuitable to me with my disability. The idea that I could be left unable to pay rent because a dodgy boss dobbed me in for turning down a bad job really frightens me. This is the last thing unemployed people need in the midst of Australia's worst employment crisis in a century. The problem is there are not enough jobs out there - there are 2.3 million unemployed and underemployed people and only 250,000 jobs available. You can’t bully people into accepting jobs that don’t exist. Unemployment isn’t a choice – it’s an unavoidable reality for millions. This proposed new hotline hasn't been launched yet. With your help, we can make this petition big enough to show that the public won't stand for bullying unemployed people - and we can stop "DobSeeker" in its tracks. Can you sign this petition and share with your friends?

  • Ban Plastic-turf in public parks
Plastic-turf kills the biota beneath & leeches toxins into the soil, while also increasing the heat island effect for the surrounding community. We must phase out the use of plastics that pollute. The world is choking on our plastics. Wrapping the land in a plastic coating is nether sustainable nor in line with the spirit and principles of Moreland Council’s own “Plastic Wise Moreland”.

  • Monbulk Main Street Traffic Safety
There are daily "near misses" of pedestrians in the area near Aldi / Woolworths as due to the complexity of the road network in that area. Along the main street vehicles "prop" to make right-hand turns, causing gridlock. With roundabouts at both ends of the shopping precinct segregated, left turn only traffic flows would improve traffic flow and reduce the complexity of traffic movements. It would make us all safer.

  • Give us a Pedestrian Footpath between Olinda and Sassafras
Pedestrian traffic by residents and tourists between Olinda and Sassafras is currently challenging and unsafe, and will deteriorate further during the winter months. The growing tourism in the Dandenong Ranges would benefit from proper and safe access between these two popular destinations.

  • No Crows HQ on the Adelaide Park Lands
The Park Lands are a critical part of the heritage and history of Adelaide. They should be retained for unrestricted public access as intended in the original Colonel Light’s visionary plan They must not be developed for any exclusive commercial purposes such as currently being contemplated by the Adelaide Football Club.

  • Ban Glyphosate Poison in Noosa
This is not just important but imperitive to stop the toxic damage to our biological diversity. There is a domino effect that starts with the killing of important plants, insects, birds and larger animals. The efffects may also include pets and children playing on grassed areas in payground parks. There is so much scientific evidence of not only destroying the biodiverity of nature but also proven evidence of Glyphosates being carcinogenic and causing Cancer.

  • Fix Spa Bath at Reservoir pool!
Paying members should be able to enjoy the full use of the spa and have it operate the way it's supposed to, rather than just a hot tub with a few bubbles. It's important that our public facilities are kept in good condition so that we can make sure everybody, regardless of how much money you have, can enjoy leisure activities.

  • Winmalee needs microgrids!
It would make people's lives so much easier and not just pleasant but provide this essential service regardless of whether a tree has taken out power lines somewhere else locally or if there is a bushfire and power is lost. While it would cost money it is really a small price to pay for the additional security it would provide. Why Matt Kean? Because he is the person who can make it happen. As the Minister for the Environment in NSW he has the power to make this happen. The council cannot do it!

  • Make it safe for us to cross the Bass Highway in Kilcunda
This is important as it is dangerous to cross the road and its only a matter of time until someone is killed or seriously injured. Safety improvements to this section of Bass Highway have been a high priority for the community, which is separated by this busy highway, for decades. Our school children have to cross the road each day for the bus drop off and pick up, our recreation area is over the highway for most residents while the General Store, Post Office and Pub are over the highway for the other residents so we can't avoid crossing it. The Planning and Community Consultation required for the project have already been done, the Environmental Assessment, Cultural Heritage Management Plan, Additional Survey works, Safety Audit and further refinement of the design, within existing scope, have all been progressed. We now just need you to fund it so it can be built and our community can be safer and more connected. Details of the project can be found through the link below https://regionalroads.vic.gov.au/map/eastern-improvements/bass-highway-kilcunda-pedestrian-and-intersection-safety-improvements
